What is Auto Out of Stock?
Auto Out-of-Stock allows you to automate stock operations of menu items. With this feature, you can input custom stock quantities for items so that any purchase or order reduces the available inventory in the system, when stock of the item reaches 0, the item will be automatically marked out of stock on all your channels (klikit and any integrated channel, such as Grab, Foodpanda, Deliveroo, Uber, etc.). Users with the roles of Business Owner, Brand Manager, and Branch Manager can manage out-of-stock menus.
Auto out-of-stock works best for ready made items such as packaged goods, prepared meals or beverages (such as cans of coke).

Can I set the UberEats or Demaecan menu to OOS separately?
For users in Japan, you can individually disable menu items for UberEats or Demaecan.
You can refer to this link for a demonstration.
What if I forget to turn an Item/Menu back on?
If you made the OOS request on NMA - generally it will be back in stock either next day, or whenever it was set. For OOS in Web, you will need to toggle it back.
We know that running a business is stressful and anyone can forget things. As a result, we have tools and systems to help you check out when things are OOS.
However, we do recommend you always check two other places:
- Live Report Hub
This gives you real-time visibility into your brands and branches performance, letting you see what items are OOS, and where.
- Analytics
This gives you a 'hit-list' of the longest OOS items and the branches they're mapped to.
How does it work?
As mentioned, NMA (i.e. Store App) requests will toggle back automatically without assistance. For those made on Web, you will need to manually re-enable them.
"Turning off out of stock" can mean two different things
1. You want one item back in stock now
To re-enable an item, toggle the button back on — the button appears purple when the item is active. On the klikit for Business app: navigate to the Menu tab, select brand, menu, and category, then tap the toggle next to the item to mark it OOS or back in stock.
Where the request was made matters. If you made the OOS request on NMA (the store app), generally it will be back in stock either next day, or whenever it was set. For OOS in Web, you will need to toggle it back.
If you set a snooze timer, you do not need to do anything: when you mark an item as OOS, a clock icon appears next to the OOS button, and clicking it opens a pop-up where you can set how long the item should remain OOS. The timer starts when you click Update, and once the timer expires, the item automatically returns to in-stock status.
2. You want to stop stock counts marking items OOS by themselves (Auto Out-of-Stock)
Auto Out-of-Stock is set per item, not account-wide. You tap the 'Stock' icon next to the item, toggle 'Enable Stock', set the inventory count, and tap Update — at that point Auto Out-of-Stock is enabled for that item. Any order that is received and accepted will reduce the stock, based on the order, and when the stock hits 0, the item will be marked out of stock.
Using stock tracking at all is optional: Simple Inventory is optional, and there is no impact to your system if you choose not to set it up. However, without it, you will need to manually manage OOS toggling for each item.
One thing to keep in mind either way: items will remain OOS by default until manually re-enabled. So switching an item back to in-stock is a separate action from changing how its stock is counted.
