If you have a large menu, or a brand-new menu to set up, you do not have to add every item one at a time in klikit Cloud. klikit has two CSV templates — one for the menu (menus, categories and items) and one for modifiers (modifier groups and their options). Fill them in, send them to Support, and the klikit team loads the whole menu for you.
Download the templates
- klikit menu template (CSV) — menus, categories, items, prices and translations
- klikit modifier template (CSV) — modifier groups, modifier options, prices and translations
Open them in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Keep the header row exactly as it is and save the file back as CSV.
How to fill in the menu template
One row per item. Repeat the menu and category columns on every row that belongs to them.
| Column | What to put |
|---|---|
menu_title_en, menu_sequence | The menu name (for example "Main Menu") and its display order |
category_title_en, category_sequence | The category the item sits in (for example "Rice Bowls") and its order within the menu |
item_title_en, item_description_en, item_sequence | The item name, its description, and its order within the category |
item_image | A public URL of the item photo (1024 x 576, PNG or JPEG, 100 KB – 1 MB) — leave blank to add photos later |
item_sku_id | Your own SKU or PLU code, if you use one |
klikit_price_<currency> | The item price for klikit channels (POS, Add Order, Webshop) in your currency column — for example klikit_price_idr or klikit_price_php |
<channel>_price_<currency> | The price on a specific delivery platform if it differs, for example grabfood_price_idr or foodpanda_price_php |
*_title_id, *_title_tl, and the other language columns | Optional translations of the menu, category and item names and descriptions |
Fill in only the currency you trade in and only the channels you are integrated with; leave every other price column empty. Available channel columns: klikit, GrabFood, foodpanda, GoFood, ShopeeFood, TikTok, Maxim, Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Wolt and Demaecan.
How to fill in the modifier template
One row per modifier option. Repeat the modifier-group columns on every option that belongs to the group.
| Column | What to put |
|---|---|
modifier_group_title_en, modifier_group_description_en | The group name shown to the customer, for example "Choose your spice level" |
modifier_group_min, modifier_group_max | How many options the customer must pick (minimum) and may pick (maximum) — 1 and 1 for a required single choice, 0 and 3 for up to three optional add-ons |
modifier_title_en, modifier_description_en, modifier_sequence | The option name, an optional description, and its order within the group |
modifier_image, modifier_sku_id | Optional photo URL and your own SKU code |
klikit_price_<currency> and <channel>_price_<currency> | The add-on price for the option, same rules as the menu template; leave blank or 0 for a free option |
| Language columns | Optional translations |
The modifier template does not have a column for which items a group belongs to. When you send the files, tell Support which items (or which categories) each modifier group should be attached to — a short list is enough.
How to submit
- Tap the Live Chat button at the bottom right of your screen and ask for a bulk menu upload.
- Attach the completed menu CSV and, if you have modifiers, the modifier CSV, plus the list of which modifier groups go on which items.
- The klikit team loads the files into your Business Menu and lets you know when it is done.
- Check the items in klikit Cloud under Menu, then Sync and Publish to the relevant brands and branches so the menu reaches your POS, Webshop and delivery platforms. See How do I update or add items to my menu?.
Common questions
Can I upload the CSV myself in klikit Cloud? Not at the moment. The templates are loaded for you by the klikit team — send them through Live Chat. Individual items can always be added or edited yourself in klikit Cloud.
Can I use the template to change prices on an existing menu? Use it for a new menu or a large batch of new items. For changes to items that already exist, edit them in klikit Cloud (Menu → Items) or submit a Menu Edit Request so the right items are updated rather than duplicated.
Which price column do I use if I only sell through the klikit POS and Webshop? Just klikit_price_<your currency>. Leave the delivery-platform columns empty.
