Ending a shift, reading sales for a time range, and clean handovers
Shift Management is available on the klikit for Business mobile app, and it is accessible from the navigation menu.
To end the current shift:
- Navigate to Shift Management from the side menu.
- Tap End Shift.
- A Z-report is generated automatically covering the period of the shift.
The Z-report summarizes all transactions processed during the shift, broken down by provider, item, and payment method. You can print the Z-report or review it on screen. Ending a shift does not stop the store from receiving orders — other staff with active shifts continue processing orders normally.
To read sales for a specific period without ending the shift: X-reports can be generated for partial time ranges within a day if you need to review transactions for a specific period without ending the shift.
To keep shifts separate at handover and close-out: end all active shifts at the end of the business day — each shift end generates a Z-report for that session. Only one shift session can be active per user at a time, and multiple staff members at the same branch can have concurrent shifts. Branch managers can view all running shifts for their branch from the Shift Management screen, which shows which staff members are currently on shift and when each shift started. This is useful for monitoring staffing levels and identifying who is responsible for transactions during a specific time window.
