With its charming facade resembling old ruins, Nam Nam invites diners to a laid-back atmosphere adorned with art and mismatched furniture. Their Pho Bo (PHP 280), a hearty bowl brimming with flavor, is possibly the best in the Metro. Trust us when we say that we’re still dreaming about their Pho ‘till today.
Talisay: The Garden Cafe
If you’ve got a sweet tooth and love coffee, Talisay: The Garden Cafe, is the perfect spot for you. Found along 44 Maginhawa, is this homey cafe with a beautiful garden setting. We enjoyed the Banana Crème Brulee with Langka Ice Cream (PHP 280) and the Iced Coffee Caramel (PHP 180) — both options promise delightful flavors sure to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings.
Saints and Lattes
Saints and Lattes at 97 Maginhawa is known for its affordable all-day brunch for two priced at PHP 395. The place features breakfast classics like Adobo with Atchara and Chicken with Waffles. We loved their Kimchi Egg Fried Rice with Pork Belly (PHP 265 ) and their Saint Latte (PHP 130).
Tomato Cannon
At 169 Maginhawa, Diliman, Quezon City, you can find Tomato Cannon. Known for their unlimited wings, pasta, and pizza, it’s an iconic spot, perfect for dinner with friends and family. We tried their 9” Triple Cheese Pizza for PHP 295 and absolutely loved the cheesy texture and crunchy crust! At Tomato Cannon, you are in for endless comfort food, good times, and friendly staff.
Urban Chick
Urban Chick at 195 Maginhawa, Diliman, Quezon City is a classic spot in Maginhawa, known for their juicy grilled and fried dishes. It may look simple on the outside, but its interiors are spacious and cozy, decorated with wooden tables and a classroom diner vibe. We tried their famous Chicken Barbecue (PHP 130) — a perfect mix of smoky goodness and tender grilled perfection. Urban Chick is definitely the go-to for chicken lovers, perfect for hanging out with friends and family at student-friendly prices.
Mango Magic
Need a refreshing pick-me-up? Head to Mango Magic at 102 Maginhawa, Diliman, Quezon City! They’re famous for their legendary mango shakes, sure to quench your thirst on a hot day. They claim to have the best mango shake ever, with a catchy jingle to prove it! We tried the Mango Float Shake Vanilla (PHP 129 for small, PHP 169 for large), topped with grahams, huge chunks of mango, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was definitely worth it! Don’t miss Mango Magic for a refreshing mango treat in the heart of Maginhawa.
Ate Rica’s Bacsilog
Established in 2006 as a simple food cart, Ate Rica’s Bacsilog now boasts 180 branches nationwide. Ate Rica’s is famous for its iconic Bacsilog, a unique take on the classic Filipino silog. Loved by many, their Bacsilog has become a favorite across the country. We tried the Classic Bacsilog for PHP 99—a tasty and affordable meal.
