On the rooftop of the Lepanto Building in Makati lies The Penthouse 8747. As we entered, we were greeted by interiors that gave us a glimpse of the roaring 20’s. The rooftop lounge was covered in hues of gold, green, and black, and every detail of the place was well designed–from their plush, velvety couches to their art deco accents. Though one of the main highlights of the place was definitely the stunning view of Makati from above.
We were lucky enough to experience The Penthouse 8747 on their 8th anniversary. Here’s a rundown of what we would recommend
Appetizers
For our appetizers, we were served a tray of their Penthouse Sampler (PHP 1,100)–7 variations of their best small bites. We recommend ordering this alongside sharing some drinks with your friends. Among the 7 small bites, the Wagyu Aburi and Penthouse Crab Cake definitely stole the show.
Mains
For our mains, we recommend their Mushroom Fettucine Tartufata (PHP 680) paired with their Grilled USDA Rib Eye Steak (PHP 2,500). This classic pairing, coupled with the overlooking Makati skyline, creates the perfect romantic setting for you and your significant other. The Penthouse 8747 also offers a fresh and light baked salmon (PHP 950) with a maple glaze finish.
Drinks
For cocktails, we highly vouch for the Night in the Plaza (PHP 350). A sweet and refreshing drink reminiscent of a watermelon shake, spiked with vodka. For something bolder, we recommend trying the Dragonfruit Mojito (PHP 350) with a rum base. Not into cocktails? The Penthouse 8747 also serves draft beer locally brewed by Crazy Carabao (PHP 210).
The Penthouse 8747 is located on the 21st floor of the Lepanto Building, 8747 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City. For reservations, you may book at thepenthouse8747.klikit.io/reserve.
