If you’re travelling up Antipolo, be prepared for more than just the beautiful views. The area has become a hotspot for hidden gems and locally loved restaurants. From cozy coffee spots to garden cafes, Sumulong highway is worth the trip for any foodie looking for an adventure. Here are our top recommendations for your next Antipolo Food Crawl!

Ahon Coffee

Ahon Coffee is a truly popular spot among bikers, not just for its stunning views but also for its delicious and reliable coffee. Located along Sumulong Highway, this café offers a perfect view, making it an ideal pit stop for those on two wheels. A small shack spreads the aroma of freshly brewed coffee calling all those passing to stop by for a cup. Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or just looking for a place to unwind, Ahon Coffee promises a memorable experience that will leave you ready for the road ahead. We recommend their Iced Americano, strong and refreshing.

Miguel’s Garden Cafe

Miguel’s Garden Cafe has a great outdoor space with a menu perfect for garden dining. We indulged in their “Michelle’s Supreme Pizza,” a generous serving priced at PHP 649, featuring a perfect balance of multiple toppings. The garden setting adds a refreshing touch to the meal, with the open air to pair with delicious food. It’s an excellent spot for pizza lovers looking to enjoy their meal with nature’s beauty!

Sumu Cafe

Sumu Cafe, located along Sumulong Highway as the name suggests, is another gem for outdoor dining enthusiasts. Although known for its cafe items, make sure to try their food too. We enjoyed their Chicken Parmigiano for PHP 245, beautifully fried and seasoned with their sweet and sour tomato sauce. To match, we also had their Matcha Berry (PHP 165). Who knew matcha and strawberry would make for such a delicious combination? The perfect drink for a hot morning or afternoon, sweet and refreshing.

Anix’s House of Kare-Kare

This next spot is brave enough to call itself the House of Kare-Kare. Their claim might just be true, offering much more than the classic dish. Anix’s House of Kare-Kare is the perfect family dining destination, offering an authentic taste of Filipino cuisine. We enjoyed their Classic Kare-Kare for PHP 480, a rich and hearty dish, alongside the Sizzling Pork Sisig, priced at PHP 350, which had the fat-acid combination we all love. The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for gathering with loved ones and indulging in traditional Filipino comfort food. At Anix’s, you’ll have a satisfying and memorable meal that celebrates the rich classic dishes of the Philippines.
